Daniel E. Andrews III, M.D.

 

The Maestro at the Pinewood Fencing Academy is Daniel E. Andrews III, M.D.   

Dr. Andrews has over 50 years of martial art training including extensive teaching experience in karate, judo, jiu jitsu, boxing, wrestling and fencing. 

 

In March of 2007 Dr. Andrews met Maestro Paul Reyes as a new patient. 

 

After learning of Maestro Reyes extensive background in sword fencing, Dr. Andrews immediately requested permission to become his student.  Maestro Reyes began teaching Andrews the highly technical style of Hungarian and Italian fencing he had learned in his youth in New York City from the great fencing teachers of that day.
